JOB TITLE: Food Service Cashier/Kitchen Helper
Classification Level: 1
SUMMARY
To enter, monitor and reconcile all purchased meals; and to assist maintaining facilities in a sanitary condition. This is an entry level position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handles all cash and makes deposits
Submits monthly reports
Makes entries, updates and submits reports for the free and reduced lunch program
Servesone or more items of food for the purpose of meeting mandated nutritional
requirements and/or requests of students and school personnel upon request
Stocksfood, condiments and supplies for the purpose of maintaining adequate
quantities and security of items upon request
Assistsother personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the
completion of their work activities

QUALIFICATIONS

Be computer-literate
Perform arithmetic calculations and banking tasks
Use standard office equipment
Have a knowledge of modern methods of food preparation, health codes and sanitation principles
Provide direction to others and make independent judgments based on common sense
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Uphold confidentiality standards
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and/or CERTIFICATION
Valid Class One Arizona fingerprint clearance
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Prior job-related experience as cashier and basic kitchen activities is preferred
